This section of our website offers a range of information which may assist in the understanding of the many aspects of living with dementia.

Help Sheets are pdf documents containing advice, common sense approaches and practical strategies on the issues most commonly raised, with Update Sheets providing up-to-date information on areas which include frequent or dynamic developments.

 

Our Numbered Publications include Position Papers and Discussion Papers on a variety of topics.

 

Alzheimer’s Australia has produced a number of Quality Dementia Care Papers which are resources which contain detailed information that may assist when caring for people with dementia.

 

Our Consumer Resources are for everyone – books, videos, useful websites, identity, early stage and companion cards, plus much more.

 

Access Economics has produced a number of document which produce estimates of the current and future impact of dementia in various populations within Australia and the surrounding regions. These estimates highlight the critical importance of research and planning for dementia care as populations age in the coming decades.

 

Annual Reports, Media Releases and Speeches include all activities by Alzheimer’s Australia since 2001.

 

The topic Submissions includes proposals and other enquiries by Alzheimer’s Australia to various Government departments. Documents are listed in alphabetical order, from September 2000 onwards.

 

Issues Papers include documents on topics such as elder abuse, driving and dementia, diagnosis, acute care, stem cell research, including the March 2007 paper on younger people with dementia.
